i believe this is my second time making greeting cards for wedding. the first one was around august 2007. hahah! a very long time aite? well, there still a lot to be improve here. anyhow, i hope you do like it and enjoy the pictures! ;) ♥

Best Wishes Card

what a tiring days behind! but i really had a good time :D three days straight going outside and did a lot of activities, my reunion was really happening. oh, quilling get-together? it was blast and joyful! :D and my convocation ceremony starts with clumsiness of me for leaving my mortar board behind which i suppose to bring it inside the hall =.=" but with God's help, it end up very-very well after that :')

i'm still waiting for the pictures of our Quilling Get Together v1.0 from my friends camera, actually. and will update the story as soon as i got them. anyway, miyyah@kertas's pics are now available at her facebook page ;) take a look ya?!

while waiting, here's one card expressly made for urgent occasion. it's my first time playing with orange and peach background! :D

i'm not feeling well today but not also sick. perhaps, i'm just too tired. sadly, i have a lot of works to be done =.=" oh~ oh~

Rainbow in My Heart II

i hope you still remember my first version of 'Rainbow in My Heart' card. and after a long time, here i present to you the second version of it. 2 hearts represent 2nd anniversary! ♥

again, just a simple design for birthday. three roses in a row, and a small little cupcake at the center of the circle shape.

oh, i always have trouble when it comes to purple. :-S anyhow, hope you like it! ;)

Graduation Teddy

again, i'm making teddy bear! ;) this time, it's for graduation. so i create a very simple card of bear with mortar board. this idea is actually come from my customer, and i try very hard to adjust the hat, actually. and here's the result.

oh, by the way, my convocation ceremony is also coming very² soon ;) it's on 4th October! :D at last after 6 years being the world of mathematics {and the number will surely be added from time to time}, here come the day to celebrate it with flying colours! ;)

looks like my mini diana model got a lot of attention and responses! :D thank you ^^ so, here is another version.

Diana Mini {with Flash}

remember my entry about me trying to make Diana F+ camera? well, instead of making it, i make her mini version with flash. actually f+ and mini has no different except it's size. and since i make this quilling diana in a very small size {width:2.5cm}, i assume i'm making diana mini ;)

now the challange is card's decoration. hmm, this time it's simply like below. i guess it looks great on its own :P {actually i have no idea. haha!} by the way, i make this card only for fun. don't know why my heart felt like really2 want this camera RIGHT NOW! >.< huhu~

On Your Birthday

oh, i don't know what to name this card. but it is for birthday. actually, i got the opportunity to make this card from Ally since she got something to do. even i have a lot of thigs to be done last week, i just grab this as a challange for me. at first, i'm so blur. from the email attached, her customer wants a black car, a heart shape with rounded quilling inside it and also 3 little cupcakes. ngaa~ what story should i make ya?

adjusting those 3 things here and there, at last it end up like below :) attached, different style of envelope {which behind the card and will be tied up with the orange ribbon} perfect! ^^

Kids Quilling

having a lot of siblings sometime makes me feel messed. especially when they eager to know what is my next creation. they always ask; "now what?" "any new design?" "oh, why your desk seems clean today?" oh, poor me. being with them makes me MUST be hardwork. no laziness. or else they will ask why. haha!

so, in order to keep them away while me focusing to sketch new design, i always gave them the balance of quilling papers as well as cards for them to make their own and stay away from me. heheh :P oh, i'm really a bad sister aite? ;)

but when they show me their work, i felt really happy! =D i have junior team now, yeay! down here are some of their works. enjoy! ;) {oh mostly, you can see my little brother stole my idea and make a clone of mine. haha! =)) this is fun!}

Swap Card: To Kak Lin

oh, the pink butterfly is only for decoration ;) it's my sister's :P

behind the sence: while i'm designing this card, i can't think more than a bouquet of flowers. because that what i saw from kak lin's heart. in her craft and personal blog, in her writing and thought that she expressed. in her sincerity as well as bold character that makes me adore her SO much! =') ok, now i feel like want to cry. heheh. back to designing the card, i pick the best paper that i have, cutting without precise measurement and paste here and there until i realize the decoration had already full and too high!

i try to insert it in envelope hoping that it could fit the card. but sadly it can't. what to do? digging craft box and found the one and only tissue paper that left. have some more but they already being cut in small size. i hope the heart shape is also in purple, but what to do ='(

anyway, dear kak lin. with this limited materials that i have, and time that always envy with me; i hope you like the card as much the love that i've put inside it {invisible-ly :P} will be sent to you as soon as i'm free ^^,

footnote: mom saw this card and ask; "is this for me? frame this!". err.. err.. i think i must make one for her ^^' oh, and frame it =D

Happy Bird-day!

yeay! back to quilling random things again! no more 'eidulfitri greetings ;) hehe. yep, i've done all the orders in only one week! super duper speeding due to a lot of quantum work will be coming up soon. oh, oh =.="

this time, just a small birthday greeting. my customer wants a bird and heart theme. so here it is.

oh i love it's tail ;) and also my favorite colour combination {brown and blue}. actually,  for this card; i've used other glue to paste the brown paper, which is polystyrene glue. see how it effects to the card? my card is bending! >.< oh, really sad ='( promise not to use that glue again. thank God i can fix the bend. hope it not bending back when it arrives to my customer. agagaga~

Weekend Project: Distressed Cardboard

i'm so excited making this first new section for SR's blog: weekend project! ^__^ well, this project will be the series of simple paper-craft project which is other than quilling. but i will try to combine each new method that i've tried with my quilling art. oh, i really can't leave it behind right? :P

this time, i found from elvie studio's blog: distressed tags. she uses distress ink, but i can't affort to buy them :'( so i just bought sets of pigment ink from our local crafters to try ;) {please do support our crafters!} and thank god it also works! but of course with different sentiment. but i still proud of myself for being able to make it real! ^^

hoyeah!! ^^ i've made four! B-)

after finish, i took one of them and make this simple and quick ramadhan card for my online friend.

really it is simple and quick right? :P

oh, really love the distressed cardboard when it is pasted on a blank card ♥ i can't express it in words! :P ok now, what's next? B-)

New Layout

i am a bit lost lately. too many works, but too little time. too many dreams, but had a very limited resources and ability. so, to have a fresh start again; i always believe in changes. everybody can make a small change at a time. i remember few days ago, i read some article in magazine. the author said that japanese people believe that cutting hair can make a new person in you. so when you've been through a hard time, you can always start your new life again by cutting your hair! ;) sounds funny right? but let me tell you, it really works! i've done it many times already :P

so, since this blog has no hair :P, i change the layout: to be more simple but lovely as it's name ^^ now i feel like want to start from the beginning again. new design and new paper product with of course, must have my quilling art inside it ;) hmm, i have to find something unique so that when you see my craft anywhere, you know it is my style. sometime i wish i am a graphic designer students :P heh~ well, still thinking about it. i see most of crafters have their own uniqueness and i can easily recognize their work. but mine? mine is so random =( this is not good.

anyway, that will be in my future plan list ;) now, what do you think about this new layout?

Autumn Theme

oh this time i forgot to put my brand tag as what i did before. but never mind, thanks to technology for the watermark. hehe

autumn theme for birthday. i just love the two paddy. and also the cherry on top of the muffin ;)

oh, by the way. this card is for two people, actually. and my customer wants it to be like two in one. so i divided the card into two part i.e the card has to be open in the middle, where the left side is for the first person, while the other side is for the second one.

oh, i think i have to start design the template for hari raya now. ramadhan is almost near! >.<
